Brewing The American Dream Collab Series Brews: Bark & Bite w/ Kraemer & Kin  

We’re back with our Brewing the American Dream Series Collaborations for 2024! This year we’re kicking things up a notch by releasing both draft and 16oz cans of our collaboration creations to amplify the visibility of our brewing friends that will be available at both of our Sam Adams Boston locations. For a little background, we’ve been hosting our collaboration series since 2021 with a mission to support and highlight the incredible talent in the local brewing community in greater New England, a goal that very closely ties through our Brewing the American Dream program.  

The first collaboration to kick off 2024 is with our friends Kraemer & Kin out of Alburgh, VT who are all about local and sustainable brewing and farming with Levi Kraemer at the helm of brewing operations. “I love their connection to the land and where they’re located. Their whole vibe is much about place, community and connection and I absolutely love their aesthetic as well. It’s cool that it is truly a family affair with a brother, sister and wife team making this happen! Talk about living the values of community!” says Head Brewer of the Downtown Boston Taproom, Megan P.  

The collaboration beer, called Bark & Bite, is a Maibock using 100% Vermont-sourced maple syrup and rose hips. It is the brainchild collaboration between Levi Kraemer, Paul F from our Boston Brewery and Megan P. from our Downtown Boston Taproom that took inspiration from connecting with the environments of both Vermont and Massachusetts as a nod to Earth Day. This brew is giving lightly toasted and bready notes with a slight classic German spicy hop that allows the maple to shine from an aroma and flavor perspective.  

Join both Sam Adams and Kraemer & Kin Brewing for the release party on Friday, April 26th from 6-9pm at the Sam Adams Brewery in Jamaica Plain where we’ll be featuring music from Woundikin and a special grilled cheese with hibiscus chutney pairing using BTAD pitch room winner Pride Road as a highlight.
