A Dill-icious Summer Brew Is Back!

To pickle or to pickle more? One of the most divisive foods is back on our draft lines in a special limited edition brew: THE REAL DILL PICKLE BEER! We’ve got so much love (and hate) on this beer last year that we had to bring it back for the pickle lovers out there who are craving something dill-icious on a hot Boston summer day. According to our Head Brewer, Megan Parisi, “Anyone who loves pickles enjoys the brine left behind in the jar. We use it in cooking, we sneak a sip of it - Why not use it in brewing?!” This year’s version will not be spicy and uses a different pickle brine, but is sure to bring the same energy as last year’s version! 

This year we are using pickle brine from our friends at Real Pickles out of Greenfield, MA as a special feature of The Real Dill. Real Pickles is a small, worker-owned cooperative that produces award-winning fermented pickled products that are raw, vinegar-free, 100% organic, regionally grown and solar-powered. Operating since 2001, Real Pickles is committed to promoting human and ecological health by providing people with delicious, nourishing food and by working toward a regional and organic food system. Through community engagement they help to build a better food system that supports both people and our planet!  

Launching on Friday, July 14th, The Real Dill is a Pickle Golden Ale and is everything you’d want out of a pickle beer – tart and super refreshing. We’ll be featuring fried pickles with a special house aioli and Chicago hot dogs as special food pairings on our menu through the weekend. We will also have Kooked Out joining us to jam out in our Beer Hall from 6-9pm to cap off a special dedication to a special brew! With your feedback from last year, we made The Real Dill a part of our Downtown Series of limited-edition cans available exclusively at the Downtown Boston Taproom, so make sure to grab your 4-pk from our store before this brew is gone!
